Buildings and Grounds Committee
The Buildings and Grounds Committee is responsible for maintaining the Building and caring for the grounds. They also actively identify and recommend long term capital improvements to the Meeting House.
Work Bee May 30, 2009
Saturday May 30th will be the workbee starting at 9am with Friends showing up as they can.
Here is the list of things to do:
INSIDE
- Wash windows
- Vacuum
meeting room (including removing cobwebs under and legs of benches)
- Clean
bathrooms (including floors)
- Install
wainscoting in vestibule (Phil and David)
OUTSIDE
- Check
chimney cap, perhaps install screening
- Check
possible entry hole for birds on east side, install covering
- Pull
garlic mustard from window wells, around foundation of meetinghouse
and edge of mowed area; dispose in plastic bags
- Remove
weed shrub and additional weed from front stone steps
- Dig
out honeysuckle behind sign
- Prune
forsythia (a lot) and ewe bushes (a little) on east side
- Weed
where appropriate and needed - around day lilies, hosta and iris
